Alena Salei, Ph.D., is a Counsel at Borovtsov & Salei, specializing in civil, corporate and international private law matters.

Being a highly regarded specialist in civil law matters, Alena took part in drafting and amending Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus, as well as legislative acts. For many years Alena was a member of Advisory council at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus.

More than 28 years Alena worked at the Department of Civil Law of the Belarusian State University.

Alena possesses broad international experience cooperating with foreign universities and partners. Alena has interned with Faculty of Law, Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Karl-Franz (Graz, Austria) and at the Faculty of Law at the University of Friedrich-Alexander (Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany). Alena used to be an arbitrator at the International Center for Dispute Resolution at Economic Court of CIS (2008-2017). Alena has authored more than 200 scientific and scientific-practical works, textbooks and articles.
