On August 28, Borovtsov & Salei partner Nadezhda Znak participated as a speaker in the online seminar "Working with Russian counterparties: contract conclusion, debt collection and court practice".

Based on Borovtsov & Salei's many years of experience and practice, the speaker discussed a wide range of issues:

legal regulation affecting the conclusion and execution of a contract with a counterparty from the Russian Federation,

analyzed the mechanism of preparation for the conclusion of the contract and verification of the counterparty,

step-by-step algorithm for concluding a contract was proposed,

peculiarities of conclusion and content of certain types of contracts (supply and contracting with regard to the place of payment of indirect taxes, reimbursable provision of services with peculiarities of provision of services in electronic form) are emphasized,

attention is paid to the nuances of currency legislation in the conclusion of such contracts,

focused on practical difficulties arising in the conclusion of contracts with the participation of residents of the Russian Federation, and gave recommendations on how to overcome them,

Checklist for checking contracts concluded with Russian counterparties is proposed,

special attention was paid to the specifics of executing contracts with the participation of Russian participants and practical problems arising while their execution.
